Born in Stourbridge in 1956 & educated at Brierley Hill secondary school, Martyn entered the industry on the shop floor taking his City & Guilds at Dudley Technical College. He is a CPC & LGV class 1 licence holder & a member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists & the Institute of Road Transport Engineers.
He progressed onto sales in April 1979, working for B & W Motors, Midland DAF Trucks and P&O Truck Services.
Martyn lives in Stourbridge with his wife Carol & two sons, Steven & Craig.
His hobbies include reading, films, walking, gardening & socializing.
