Phil was born in Ashby de la Zouch in 1953 & educated at De Lisle RC School at Loughborough. After leaving school he joined Econofreight Transport as an apprentice diesel fitter. Later he moved to ARC at Shepshed as a skilled mechanic.
During his late thirties he took time out to complete a full time HND course at Loughborough College of Further Education.
After that he worked for 3 years at Charnwood Trucks at Shepshed as account manager for Foden leaving to join Keltruck in 1995 to present day.
Phil is married to Veronica. He has one daughter and now has a granddaughter. He lives in Coalville & his main hobbies are model boat building, caravanning & riding his Triumph motorcycle (in the summer).
