Andrew Jamieson biography

Andrew was born in 1965 & began work at the age of 16 serving an apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering, working in a research laboratory specialising in engine design & fuel additive research. Following a seven-year spell Andrew joined Mercedes-Benz UK Limited spending most of his time within sales engineering – he did also, however, spend a brief period within export sales & special products.

In 1994 Andrew joined Scania (Great Britain) Limited, initially as Area Sales Manager promoting contract hire. He progressed through the organisation becoming a Director of SGB in March 2000. Over the following five years Andrew held responsibility for various areas of the business including the aftersales functions, the contracts portfolio, residual value portfolio, used vehicle disposals, truck rental as well as marketing functions.

In October 2005 Andrew left SGB to join the dealer network & was involved in the formation of the TruckEast dealer group combining the former Ro-Truck and Derek Jones Commercials organisations into one company. From his role as Aftersales Director of TruckEast Andrew joined Keltruck.

Andrew is married with two children with his interests including running a youth football team, skiing, mountain biking as well as being a beginner at golf.
