Bumper year for Midlands truck dealer

Keltruck, the Scania truck dealer for the Midlands says 2005 was a bumper year.   ‘2005 broke all records,’ said John Biggin, managing director.   ‘We’re looking forward to the year ahead with confidence.’   Business was very busy in the year across all 13 depots throughout the Midlands with the company reporting 910 new and 513 used heavy truck sales.   The aftersales business, including the country’s first Environment Agency licensed heavy truck recycling plant, did particularly well.   Keltruck bought Scania dealer East Midlands Commercials Limited in late 2004 and says combined total sales have grown rapidly since.   Established in 1983, Keltruck Limited is the independent Scania dealer, repairer and recycler serving the Midlands from its 13 depots located at Burton on Trent, Cheltenham, Coventry, Droitwich, Groby, Lutterworth, Newark, Nottingham, Rugby, Sutton in Ashfield, Tamworth, Willenhall and West Bromwich.   The firm employs 500 people and its annual turnover is some £100m.
