HEADLINE: THE SWEDE TASTE OF SUCCESS FOR KELTRUCK

BODY: A truck dealer is to mark its founding in the West Midlands two decades ago by giving long-serving workers a trip to Sweden Scania distributer Keltruck will be sending staff who have clocked up more than ten years with the company to visit the Sodertalje headquarters of the Swedish manufacturer to mark the firm’s anniversary.

And to make sure all the employees are included in the landmark celebrations, a special dinner is being laid on at West Bromwich Albion’s Hawthorns ground, a stone’s throw from Keltruck’s 6.5-acre head office and depot at West Bromwich. Managing director John Biggin said: ‘Most of our staff are from the area immediate to the depots, and there are currently close to 300 staff working for Keltruck.

‘As such Keltruck considers itself to be part of the fabric of the region, and takes a great interest in the activities that go on within its area.’

The firm has splashed out pounds 250,000 to revamp the West Bromwich site and more has been spent at the Droitwich depot while a new one has been opened in Rugby.
