Keltruck staff collect for Acorns Hospice
Keltruck Managing Director John Biggin joined Pat Radford & Laura Iles from payroll to present a Charities Aid Foundation cheque for £2,000 to Acorns Hospice head nurse Ann Smallman at their site on Walstead Road in Walsall. The main bulk of the money has been raised internally from such events as 'Dress Down Friday' where staff make donations to wear casual clothes, Easter egg competitions & various raffles.
By donating through the CAF, Acorns Hospice benefits by reclaiming the tax. Both Laura & Pat are heavily involved with supporting Acorns & are already working on new ideas to help support this extremely worthwhile charity. Acorns Children's Hospice Trust cares for life-limited children & their families from across the West Midlands region. Since 1988 1,100 families have been helped by Acorns. Visit acorns.org.uk & www.cafonline.org for more information or to make a donation. High resolution photograph:
