New-design gears are wider and stronger. They are machined with greater precision, to give better economy and take increased torque with reduced friction. Noise is also reduced.
New synchromesh is a patented design. The hubs are more compact, yet more durable. There is no need for a servo, so the risk of abuse or error is largely eliminated.
Integrated solenoid valves are completely new. They have a more robust structure and more secure installation, to reduce the risk of ‘lockups’ for enhanced reliability. They are also quicker and easier to exchange if roadside attention is needed.
Tunnel housing is stronger, lighter, more compact and allows easier access and removal of internal parts for maintenance. The installation does not protrude above chassis rails.
Positive diagnostic functions are provided by new interactive analogue sensors. They give pinpoint accuracy when checking mechanical and electrical functions.
New long life clutch has an extra-thick 5mm lining to give a longer service life. Optional clutch monitoring system gives added protection and smoother operation.
New PTO options give a better selection of slow or fast flange or direct capabilities. Torque outputs are 700 or 1200 Nm.
