It was a momentous occasion on Wednesday 14th August 2002 when Brian Lewis was lost for words! Brian retired after working at Keltruck for 14 years. Chris Kelly, Chairman, presented Brian with a gold watch engraved with “Keltruck 1988 – 2002, Wishing you a Happy Retirement”, a bottle of champagne and a retirement cake. It wouldn’t be the same without him (although some would argue that things haven’t been the same since he arrived!) but Brian will not be far away as he will continue to work at West Bromwich depot for couple of days a week. Congratulations on your retirement Brian, we wish you and your wife Maureen all the best for the future!

Congratulations to Paul Green, Warranty Manager, and his wife Louise who had a baby boy, William Joseph born on Saturday 24th August, weighing in at 6lb 11oz. Both mother and baby are doing fine. Congratulations also to Trevor Dolby and his wife Kathryn who are expecting their second child.

SALES

We have received an order for 16 chassis from TNT for a new B&Q operation (to be followed in January by a further 18 chassis). This is the first order from them for some 5 years &, we hope, the first of many.

WEST BROMWICH DEPOT

Recycling department

I am pleased to announce the following structure change in the recycling department: Ellis Fellows is to take control of all non-sales related activities i.e. dismantling, warehousing and purchasing. This will allow John Small and Paul Turner to concentrate all their efforts on selling the recycling stock, thus increasing sales and profit in the department.

General Manager
