Leading Midlands based demolition and site enabling contractor CMEC Demolition marked their 10 year relationship with Keltruck of Nottingham by taking delivery of a brand new Scania G400 highline 8×4 chassis fitted with Boughton big hook roll on/roll off equipment and draw bar coupling.
This Scania is known within the business as “The Griffin” and will lead the fleet of Scanias in the company fleet.
CMEC Demolition’s Transport & Waste Logistics Manager and lead driver, Tony Newton, specified the vehicle with a few optional extras to make this vehicle stand out in a crowd.
Keltruck Sales Manager Stephen Fletcher said that, having supplied CMEC Demolition with their first 8×4 Scania roll on/roll off in 2002, supplying what can only be described as the flagship of the company’s fleet made him personally proud of being involved in the bespoking of this specialised heavy duty vehicle designed to meet all the needs of a company going from strength to strength.
Keltruck and CMEC Demolition’s relationship has been developed over the past 10 years. With a proven track record these vehicles offer the image, comfort and reliability necessary to meet CMEC Demolition’s high standards.
CMEC Demolition’s Managing Director, Antony Hopkinson, said: “Like all our equipment the research and planning that went into this truck started 12 months ago. We are pleased that there is no AdBlue to worry about as we see this as an operational constraint. This truck and trailer combination certainly gives us the flexibility in moving not only our waste containers around two at a time, but our plant and equipment too, making this a very versatile vehicle. We think we are running the best truck on the market and this vehicle certainly is a head turner.”
