SALES NEWS

A tremendous month for the department — 43 new sales delivered, 36 used sales delivered & 17 imported cars delivered; a total of 96 vehicles. All credit to the sales team, Aftersales, Bodyshop and Recycling. It just shows what a team effort can do. Let’s keep it up.

Keltruck has now registered the domain name keltruck.com meaning that the company website can now be accessed through keltruck.co.uk AND keltruck.com. Does this mean that Keltruck has become a part of the dot com boom?? Let’s hope so!

“I am very pleased to announce to you all that I have appointed John Biggin as deputy Managing Director with immediate effect. I know that when I am away, John will do a 100% job for me and that you will all congratulate him in this new position. Well done to all! ‘You’re Simply The Best!’

I am sorry to tell you that Stuart has accepted an offer to continue his career elsewhere in a senior role outside of the Commercial Vehicle sector. I am very sorry to lose Stuart who has done a tremendous job.”

HONG KONG TRIP

Chris and I spent a few days in the Far East last week, visiting some of our recycling customers in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Export sales now account for almost half of our turnover in Recycling (and growing), much of which going to this part of the world. We had some very constructive meetings with our customers and we received a very warm welcome (they drink a lot of whiskey in Taiwan!). The potential for expansion in this area is enormous, and this is an area of our business which we will be expanding on.

Parts
I am pleased to announce that John Small and Andrew Bentley are joining the company (both from DT Truck and Bus). This will give the company a massive boost to our new & recycled parts marketing activities. Mark Boden is no longer employed by the company.

Stephen Wooldridge will be joining us on the 1st March as Export Marketing Executive. Stephen, who is 23, is a graduate of Birmingham University and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (2:1 with honours).

John Biggin
Deputy Managing Director

Andrew Bentley, MInst SMM
