Founder & owner Chris Kelly has today announced the appointment of his son, Chris D. Kelly, as company chairman.

Mr Kelly, who holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) post-graduate degree from Imperial College, London and a history & politics degree from Oxford Brookes University, has worked within the business since graduation in the late 1990s and recently retired as a Conservative Member of Parliament after five years in the House of Commons.

Commenting on his appointment Mr Kelly said: “I’m delighted to be taking up this new position within the business.

“We are proud to be a family business with family values and have many families represented within Keltruck. The team spirit within the business is industry leading and we will be seeking to strengthen this further.

“Our values of caring, integrity, professionalism and dependability form the building blocks of our code of business. I will therefore be taking every opportunity as chairman to recognise the sterling work of Keltruck team members in delivering customer service excellence.”

Also commenting on the appointment Andrew Jamieson, Managing Director & Dealer Principal, said: “With Chris senior having retired from the business back in March 2012 and now with Chris junior re-joining the board as Chairman the direct family connection is strengthened.

“Chris is re-joining a company in great shape – the last three years having been the best in our 32-year history. We’re all focused on making Keltruck the best it can possibly be, and that comes from giving our customers the best service. We’ve all got that one goal between us, and we still hold on to the family values that made Keltruck what it is today.”
