Earlier this month Chris Kelly MP visited Brierley Hill based operator A. Hingley Transport (Brierley Hill) Limited to view the fleet operating out of the Dudley South constituency along with the company’s impressive collection of road transport heritage vehicles.

The relationship between the two companies goes back to Keltruck Scania’s founding in 1983 with Ray and Alan Hingley dealing directly with Mr Kelly’s father Chris Kelly and uncle Mike Kelly.

Mr Kelly raised his founding and chairmanship of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Family Business as a sign of his support for family businesses in Dudley South like A. Hingley Transport and across the entire UK.

Chris visits several businesses in Dudley South every month in order to keep in touch with private sector opinion locally and help with any issues.

Commenting after the visit Mr Kelly said:

It was great visiting a Keltruck Scania customer who I know personally from as far back as childhood.

Road transport is the backbone of Britain and I will continue to do all I can in Westminster to support and champion the sector. I am also keen to do all I can to support family businesses from our local area and across the country.

So it was great to spend time at Ray and Alan’s family business. I wish the Hingley family continued success and thank them for their role in providing high quality, private sector employment in Dudley South.
