Chris Kelly MP today visited Netherton based operator Meridian Metal Trading Limited to view the Scania fleet operating out of the Dudley South constituency and meet with the staff and leadership of the business.
Mr Kelly raised his founding and chairmanship of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Family Business as a sign of his support for family businesses in Dudley South like Meridian Metal Trading and across the entire UK.
Chris visits several businesses in Dudley South every month in order to keep in touch with private sector opinion locally and help with any issues.
Commenting after the visit Mr Kelly said:
It was great visiting another Keltruck Scania customer in Dudley South today.
Transportation by road is absolutely vital to the economy of our country, so I will continue to do all I can in Westminster to support and champion the sector. I am also keen to do all I can to support family businesses from our local area and across the country.
I wish the Richard Bowyer and his team at Meridian continued success and thank them for their role in providing high quality, private sector employment in my constituency here in the Black Country.
