Chris Kelly MP today visited Kingswinford, West Midlands-based heavy haulage operator TDR Transport Services Limited to view the impressive fleet operating out of the Dudley South constituency that has been supplied by Keltruck.
The relationship between the two companies goes back to TDR’s founding in 1991 by brothers Richard and Tim Rollinson, with the brothers knowing Mr Kelly’s father Chris Kelly and uncle Mike Kelly very well.
The Rollinson brothers established the company following their work in their father’s construction firm, specialising in transporting construction plant and equipment and Mr Kelly raised his founding and chairmanship of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Family Business as a sign of his support for family businesses across Dudley South and the entire UK.
Chris visits several businesses in Dudley South every month in order to keep in touch with private sector opinion locally and help with any issues.
Mr Kelly said:
Something a little different today visiting a Keltruck customer who I know well from life in my family business before I was elected.
Road transport is the backbone of Britain and I will continue to do all I can in Westminster to support and champion the sector. I am also keen to do all I can to support family businesses from our local area and across the country.
So it was great to spend time at Richard and Tim’s family business today. I wish the brothers continued success and thank them for their role in providing high quality, private sector employment in Dudley South.
