Gary Hughes – Biography

Gary Hughes first joined Keltruck in April 2000 in the West Bromwich and Tamworth service departments before moving into used sales. He spent 3½ years there before moving to new sales in January 2004.

In July 2016 Gary joined Scania (Great Britain) Limited as a sales executive, returning to Keltruck in October 2025.

Gary was born in Solihull in 1972 and was educated at Lighthall Comprehensive in Shirley, Solihull. Gary started working life at Sears Menswear in 1989 (alongside his great friend, Russ Kelly – nephew of our founder, Chris Kelly) and explored several different paths before joining JDR Haulage in Tyseley, Birmingham, around 1998.

Gary has two adult children – a boy and a girl. Gary’s main hobbies are socialising and sport, mainly football.
