Depot expansion and development has been a continual theme of Keltruck Scania’s 40+ years in business and, as the business looks towards its 45th anniversary in 2028, the company is investing millions of pounds in improving facilities to better serve its customers, old and new, into the future.
Over the last two years, extensive works – including improved access and all new roadways and yard – have been underway at Keltruck Scania Groby in Leicestershire where a new state of the art super centre is currently being constructed on the Midland Distribution Centre site, with opening expected around mid 2027 in time for the company’s 45th anniversary in April 2028.
At Keltruck Scania Hereford in Herefordshire major improvements are underway to increase the size of the facility and yard space and provide industry leading staff quarters, with completion expected in Q4 2026 – again in time for the big 45th anniversary.
Following works in 2023, Keltruck Scania Tamworth in Staffordshire will be undergoing a further major expansion and redevelopment, with opening planned for the 45th anniversary year.
The programme of works follow on from the opening of Keltruck Scania’s multi-million pound new head office at Junction 1 M5 (West Bromwich) in 2013 to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary and extensive works over the last decade at sites including Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, Willenhall, West Midlands and Lutterworth, Leicestershire.
